
Lucy Mekhael

Lucy Mekhael is a seasoned litigator, with more than 28 years of experience representing clients in all aspects of litigation in state and federal courts, arbitrations, mediations and before the California Courts of Appeal. Ms. Mekhael focuses her practice on business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on creditors’ rights and secured transactions, breach of contract, fraud and real estate disputes. She also regularly counsels and represents attorneys and law firms in professional liability defense matters, including legal malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, fee disputes and malicious prosecution defense.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mekhael has delivered exceptional results for her clients, including seven-figure judgments and awards in multi-million dollar cases, defense verdicts in high exposure litigation, and substantial prevailing party attorney fee awards, which she successfully defended on appeal.
Ms. Mekhael received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1993, where she graduated with college honors and magna cum laude. She received her law degree from Loyola Law School in 1996, where she served as editor of the International and Comparative Law Journal.
Ms. Mekhael is active in her community and has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations. She regularly volunteers her time in providing pro bono legal services and community service through various outreach programs and organizations.
